Aileen has won the heart of Claude, the Demon King, and her life has gotten back on track。 Until news comes of a bunch of demons acting in defiance of Claude's orders not to attack humans。 The demons may be victims to a certain type of drug, and Aileen recognizes this as the trigger event for the sequel to the game she's now living。 Can she navigate school life, avoid her fiancee, win over the new student council, and figure out just how much the second game will impact? This is a lot of fun。 If Aileen has won the heart of Claude, the Demon King, and her life has gotten back on track。 Until news comes of a bunch of demons acting in defiance of Claude's orders not to attack humans。 The demons may be victims to a certain type of drug, and Aileen recognizes this as the trigger event for the sequel to the game she's now living。 Can she navigate school life, avoid her fiancee, win over the new student council, and figure out just how much the second game will impact? This is a lot of fun。 If the first book was all about Aileen going after Claude, this book is mostly about her trying to keep away from him, because she's guilty of defying his orders to stay home and let him handle the problem。And Aileen doesn't do things by halves。 I like the new cast of characters that surrounds her。 James, Auguste, Walt, Kyle, and Rachel all slot neatly into various otome game tropes, but Aileen is forging them into something better: a group of friends。 I love how she thinks it's too sad that the guys don't actually get along that well, and her method for group solidarity is hilarious。 She's pulling them beyond what they used to be。 If there's one thing I seriously don't like about this volume, it's the lack of side story after the end。 There's a really fun short story about Walt and Kyle that does a lot to deepen their characters (as well as show Claude being an absolute riot) that didn't get included。 I would recommend hunting down the fan translation for that, since I doubt it will end up legally available anywhere。Overall if you enjoyed the first book, definitely read this one。 This is lighter content-wise (although Claude can be a bit more menacing)。 Aileen just bulldozes her way through everything in front of her。 I rate this book Recommended。 。。。more
